It looks like this topic was last discussed in 2018 & 2019. Does anyone have any recently experience with BCV? I was just researching the Hayek instrument. It would be great if Chuck didn’t have to wear his Bipap mask 24/7, but I just can’t see the BCV really working.

I think that thread pretty much covers it.

If someone can leverage mouthpiece ventilation, besides switching out masks, that's another option. You put the mouthpiece on the end of the hose and many people mount it. But the PALS has to have the head movement to latch on when they need a breath.

There really are a lot of mask types so it is worth trying some different options. RespShop offers 30-day return for store credit on open masks (refund on unopened) and your DME may have some to try.

He uses multiple masks and they work well for him. Mouthpiece ventilation isn’t sufficient for him. But to have an option (ie BCV) where he didn’t have to have a mask on all day would be great.
I was just curious if anyone had tried the Hayek since it was last discussed in 2019.
