Looking to get a bidet attachment or seat for my female PALS. I'm concerned the commode chair won't go back far enough over some of the models. Does anyone have any experience with a particular model that works for them?

Need:
- remote
- warm water
- dry
- commode can fit overtop

We tried this and couldn't make it work. The bidet seat needs the pressure of someone sitting on it or it won't function, at least the one we have (Toto Washlet SW3056AT40 - several similar models have slightly different model numbers). Aside from that, the height of the commode was too high for the bidet function to reach the "target area" :) , and we did also have the problem you mention of not being able to get the commode chair back far enough. We ended up having to abandon the idea, unfortunately. Hope someone has a solution to suggest for you.

I have 2 and love them. The bidet seat serves as the toilet seat. I bought 2 Ove bidets that both have remotes. There are so many different styles of them. Amazon offers a variety of them.

Thanks, Lisa, do you use a commode chair with them?

I currently do not, but if you research the bidet options you'll see that you can get a flat one that would fit under your existing toilet seat. You have options. Hope this has helped.

this is the bidet model I just bought for my elongated toilet... One nice feature about this model is the remote functions with a very light touch, and I don't have to push hard on any buttons to get the various functions to work.

Keep in mind you will want to determine whether you have a round toilet or an elongated toilet top.

I need a washlet that will work with a toilet seat height extender, or a height extender that incorporates a washlet.

Google "extra tall" and "chair height" bidets.

Tengu, I was able to use my bidet seat (BioBidet) with a height extender by getting longer mounting bolts. (I say "I" but someone else had to do it for me.) All the connections are on the seat and it just sat on top of the extender, with the longer bolts going through the seat and the extender and the toilet flange. It would slide a little with side pressure, and may not be suitable for people with balance issues but it worked for me at the time. I now need a lift for all transfers so I had the extender removed.

For a low height bidet, try Walmart. They have a (about a year or so ago) a $15 - $20 piece that is flat plastic that has the adjustable through the plate holes used to attach the seat. The control is on the user's right side and has a twist valve. The usual water line attaches to it via a "Y" fitting that is supplied and the water supply line is steel braided (a big plus). On this option I would use a "sticky" shelving material as plastic has a rencency to slide on a glazed surface.

There is also a braided water line adaption that has a hand-held sprayer that hangs off the toilet tank Not sure if by themselves if they are compatible - but a plumber or handyman can make them work.

Get in touch with Bidet King they can tell you which bidet will match up with yer terlit

We are almost in your position, so I know just what you mean.

I know that the bidet seats, ours is a washlet, all have seat sensors. The sensors are usually at the 4 o'clock or 5:00 position. If you place your hand there, the sprayer function will work because it tricks the seat into thinking someone is sitting on it. I know that this is all I'll need to do whenever my husband requires a commode chair.

The next piece is to find a commode chair that will clear the seat height. We have an ADA toilet, and the Shower Buddy comes close to fitting over it. I think if we switch to a regular height toilet, it would work. In addition, the legs of the shower buddy are adjustable, so we may be able to get more height - haven't tried it yet.

That means the only other factor is whether the spray will reach the right area. Not sure about that one.
