I just finished rereading Beth's blog. Was laughing at her wit and thinking of something I had to tell her. Then it hit, she won't be here anymore to share her wit. She was a talented, kind,witty,friend and we will all miss her deeply. My sympathies to her family. She will be greatly missed.

Though I am not diagnoseded with ALS, I still read this forum...and I cannot express how this hit me. She was so friendly and kind to me and others while we were asking the same stupid questions...I feel sad, got tears in my eyes.

When my Dad was first diagnosed I started searching for information. Internet searches kept popping up posts by one BethU who had bulbar ALS. I followed her posts and found this wonderful forum, PLM and her blog. She led me to the best places and I learned so much from her and in turn from you guys here.

She shared her journey with such strength, compassion, charm and wit. Though I never met her, I will never forget her.

My condolences to Paul and her family. We have certainly lost one of the best. My heart hurts for us all.

I have been on this forum off and on for about 10 months or so, and in that time, was privileged to get to know Beth a little. she always offered such great advice and humor. I so admired her courage, incredible wit, and great spirit. Such a smart, funny, talented person. You will be missed by so many people. My sincerest condolences to your friends and family.

i have only just logged on after several days and can not believe beth has passed away.
this is such sad sad news ,i am overcome with grief and tears.
my condolences to paul and family.
even though most of us never met beth in person her warm ,funny and caring personality touched us so much it was like she was one of our own family.

This news brought back all the emotions of when I lost my mum. This forum will SOOO miss BethU, I cannot believe the news. My Chest aches. BethU will be sorely missed on this forum, my condolences to family and friends, and especially her husband Paul, she would do anything for him!

Love it.. Beth would love it.. She would be smiling from ear to ear.
I have been around here for over 3 years.. But never remember such an ominious feeling from so many. Seems Beth just had a way of moving all of us. Another sad night for all. I was thinking maybe we should plan to all be on the forum at once, very soon.. To all be together in our thoughts and memories.. Would love to break the record of forum users for Beth..

I am so sad to read this...she was such a wonderful lady. I am truley speachless at her loss, i thought she had more time and would come back. She was loved and will be missed. To her family, my thoughts, prayers and love go out to you.

Weird thing happened. I saw the post on Facebook about Beths passing when it was 12 minutes old. I came on the forum an sent a PM to Barry, since I thought he was the one to break it to the forum. I typed the message, hit send, and the forum crashed. It was down till the next morning. HUGS Lori
