I thought I’d share this one with you.

I’ve spent this past week at an early music workshop in California. I have been to this workshop 11 times in the past, playing my baroque bassoon. (Yeah, I know, if it ain’t baroque, don’t fix it :) ).

We are a group of mostly amateur and some professional musicians who are playing on instruments from the 17th and 18th centuries, or copies of instruments from this time. We play music written in the 17th and 18th centuries . We are coached by experts from all over the world.

This year I am playing mostly recorder because it is easier on my hands then the bassoon . However, I still found a way to work in a little bassoon playing. Here is a picture of me with the recorder. The hat is not mine. The accompanist had a hat, so I borrowed someone else’s hat in a display of solidarity.

I am getting around the campus using my Rollator, and people have been very supportive. I have had an opportunity to educate some of my colleagues about ALS .

oh how wonderful Karen, made me skip a beat to see this!

Glad I tuned in to this thread.

C, E-flat, and G walk into a bar.
The bartender shows them the door and says, “Sorry, we don’t serve minors.”
