Had my Baclofen pump placed on 1/22/13.
4 weeks of rehab, PT, OT.
Feeling improvement in legs. Less spasticity and tone.
I'm not popping any corks yet, but being carefully optimistic.

Glad to hear the early review is optimistic!

Great news for you.

I say, go ahead, pop that cork! Why wait?

Does it work better than the pills? Spasticity. I think, is why Im falling so much

It can work much better than pills. It can be programmed to give you just as much as you need, without making you sleepy.

Baclofen pump nurse - Thank you for the explanation on this post and the other one regarding baclofen pumps. I would have assumed getting a pump was a last resort measure to be taken after all oral medication had failed.

Actually the best time to consider the pump is when walking starts to become a problem. The old school of thought was to increase the meds until the spasms were controlled. Most people with sclerosis (ALS,PLS, MS) are very sensitive to baclofen, and any dose increase just puts you to sleep and clouds your thinking. I hope to be able to influence some physicians into thinking differently. Wish me luck !
