Ok, here's the summary of DH's application -
Diagnosed January 2007, quit work January 2008, application turned in February.
We have been calling and calling to find out the status. We are told May 15th that a decision has been made, that the state finished with his application April 17th(!) but it was "randomly picked to go before the quality review board" and that we should "call June 16 if you have not heard". Unacceptable. So I emailed my county's representatives and got a response back the next day, they are investigating why this is taking so long.
We have an eight year old daughter. Saturday, we receive a letter that says an application has to be filled out for them to be able to review if she is eligible for benefits as well and to call the office with any questions. He calls today and they want to do a phone interview and afterwards will need her birth certificate mailed in.
Has anyone been thru this? What can he expect on the phone interview? We pulled up the checklist on the website, but it's not very clear. They have all the information they need already...
Thanks in advance,
Ashley
