Symptoms started back in 2018, I was having tingling on one side of my body, stemming from side of my face, down neck all the way to my feet. No weakness, or numbness but between normal And pins and needles (left side of body) . I was seen for labs and nothing abnormal. This feeling comes and goes in flareups. 2020 I was having body wide twitching for a few weeks before making an appt with a Neurologist. Clinically normal exam, but I was down a rabbit hole of ALS. EMG and NCS stated by him was normal and not ALS. Even though when I looked at my results it did say evidence of myelopathy or motor neuron disease. My EMG had no abnormal findings. The twitching subsided. But the flare ups or neuropathy feels continues. MRI 2021 neck and cervical spine normal. I have reverse cervical lordosis, s-spine thoraclombar curve. I've been seeing him every year. And this month was the first time I had this weird tingling sensation on the one side of my body. He states I had 2.5 reflexes left side, knee, ankle, wrist, bracialis. +Hoffman sign on my left. Normal on right.

He has ordered another MRI.

Tonight I've been having a vibration type feeling in my thigh, burning sensation.

My symptoms flare for a few weeks at a time. Tingling, pins and needles, burning sensation in eyes, thighs. And then I feel fine.

I'm concerned of this new found unilateral hyperflexia and Hoffman sign which signals UMN disease.

Looking for in sight

Ask your neurologist what is in their differential. Those exam findings are non specific and your sensory symptoms point away from ALS. The mri may give you your answer

After my positive Hoffman sign finding is when he said it shows an Upper Neuron disease issue. I asked what we would be looking for with this repeat MRI..
cervical compression, stroke, tumor..
