Karen, a friend of mine had a rescue cat called Hipparchus (named after a tyrant in ancient Athens-he was very aptly named). The cat loved one person, and one person only- his mum- and terrorized anyone who came over. On his bad nights, he had to be locked away from people because he'd do things like trap people in the bathroom or growl and try to kill their feet. That Far Side comic pretty much describes Hippo.

I love Far Side. There's one for every situation.

These are my babies! The kitten I rescued a few weeks ago. He's being neutered today. Holly, my Sheltie and Smokey my African Grey. I've had Smokey for almost 40 years. And, the baby squirrel I found at a day old. Raised him and had wildlife rescue return him to his friends.

I should have mentioned. They're also my primary Caregivers! And, what better therapy! They melt my heart!
