Folks, I just lost my brother Mike on April 7, 2007. Mike's obituary read in lieu of flowers donate money to the ALS Chapter in Lexington Kentucky. Many people donated and now there is a walk coming up. JT is walking in memory of Mike. Please donate what you can. If you can't donate please sign the guestbook. God bless you all.

Dear Family and Friends,

As many of you already know, my close friend, Mike
Smith, lost his courageous battle with ALS on April
7th after being diagnosed with this disease in early
June 2007.
In honor of his memory, I'm planning on walking in
the 2008 Walk to Defeat ALS on Saturday, May 10th. To
help me honor Mike, I would appreciate any donations
to help fund research and other support services for
those suffering with this crippling disease. You might
ask your friends and relatives to make a small
donation as well.

If you would like to help me, please make your check
payable to "The ALS Association".
You can then mail your contribution to me:

Jim Taylor
5201 Stony Brook Drive
Louisville, KY 40291

I need all contributions before Friday May 9th so that
I can turn them in on Sat. May 10th when I attend the
walk.

Please help me in honoring Mike's memory. I've seen
and experienced first hand how this disease robs
someone of their ability to walk, speak, swallow, and
breathe. Thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,
Jim (J.T.) Taylor

How touching that you decided to honor your brother's memory in this manner. I hope the walk is a huge success! Cordially, Cindy

It worked out great! On the alsa.org site there is a link to a story from a local newspaper.

It was very sunny and not much shade, I even walked about 2.8 miles of the 3 mile walk! I just wish the walk wasn't through a quiet residential neighborhood and instead in front of a bunch of businesses with people to educate.
