Hi all,
Just want to commend the admins and active users for creating a safe space for people to communicate via their concerns with ALS. I have worries that my current symptoms could be ALS, although undiagnosed with a gen-med specialist believing I do not have ALS.
My current symptoms include:
- Continuous face cramping on both sides (as if I’m always smiling)
- Thumb stiffness/cramping (both thumbs, this comes and goes)
- Pinky stiffness/cramping (both pinkys this comes and goes)
- Muscle twitches, particularly in my right leg but can be all over my body (is significantly noticeable during sleeping periods)
- Neck stiffness
I haven't noticed the following:
- No weight loss, weight gain in fact
- No strength loss in all parts of body (actively going to the gym
- I don't believe I have atrophy
- haven't lost grip strength in hands.
The symptoms I have experienced have been since October 2022 and believe they are getting worse as time goes on.
I am currently in the process of seeing a neurologist but the waiting periods are quite extensive so thought I would seek advise as it's quite a scary prospect.
Thanks in advance,
