I want to thank everyone in advance for taking the time to read my posting. I just had a little girl almost 6 months ago- and she is great! I am 29 and married to a wonderful man, everything is supposed to be great- but I feel like my health is not. When the baby was about 6 months old I started having pain when urinating- I went to several urologists and they could not find anything. Told me that it was probably irritation due to the delivery. When she turned about 3 months I started having an eye twitch in my left eye and then it spread to my right. Then I started twitching all over. Now it is mainly my knees and feet. The eye twitches have disappeared but as mentioned some have stayed. I have back pain and hand pain but I attributed that to lifting my daughter. The twitching seems to go away somewhat during the day but it is really bad at night and when I wake up. I went to a neurologist and he said it was anxiety- did not do any real tests. I am going back next wed for an mri. I am so worrited because I want to be around for my family. My father died of a brain tumor and although I am adopted I am still worried that I will suffer the same way that he did.

pldo-

I'm not a medical professional, but it sounds as if it really is anxiety. Let's hope and pray that it is.

We adopted our son at birth and I was 43 at the time. I quit a very stressful sales career to raise him. I found that my job was nothing compared to that of being a mother 24/7. The stress just about did me in. My son had to have neurosurgery when he was 3 months old. I almost had a nervous breakdown! But, instead I got a good case of the shingles!

Please try to relax. I don't know if you went to an ALS specialist, but if you really think you have the symptoms, I would suggest you get to an ALS clinic.

Thank you for your answers. I think you can go crazy when you read webpages about this horrible disease. I pray for all of you and your families. My little girl was not so little when she was born- almost 9 pounds and carrying her has been sort of a shock to the system- she weighs 17 pounds now. I am hoping that it is a pinched nerve or something. I had a very difficult delivery, but you think it would have recovered after 5 months . . .
