Hello everyone.

I have had stiffness and pain in both hands fingers, generalized muscle weakness/fatigue in both arms and legs, swollen glands, infected parotid gland, extremely tired, fasciculations in all 4 limbs, hands, foot since about August. Have been to ENT and Rheumotologist but nothing showing up in blood and scans. Going to neuro doc friday. Just trying to prepare...does this sound like ALS? Doc thought Sjogrens but normal blood tests. Any info musings would be great.

Hi there-

This does not sound like a motor neuron issue. You report stuff that has nothing to do with ALS and sounds like something systemic. Have a read here: Important - READ BEFORE POSTING! Answers to common concerns about possible symptoms for lots of information and to reassure yourself further about ALS not being the culprit. Not sure what you might be looking at, but you can knock ALS off your list.

Take care and hope you get some answers

That does not sound like ALS at all. Presuming neurology does not see anything alarming from that perspective, I would go back to your internist (or another one) and make sure you've been screened for infectious disease and endocrine disorders.

Best,
Laurie

Thank you. Ive been bounced arpund to everyone from the ENT to the Rheumatologist. Hoping to get answers soon.
