ALS fears (weakness and twitches)

Hello, I'm a 23 yo male and I've been going though of really bad anxiety about als recently. It all started when I ended up having my left upper arm to my left chest and get just stiff and somewhat painful for a about 2 weeks. Then one day the stiffness went away, I'd still get pain in that area, especially when I got really overwhelmed it stiffened up again, but oddly another time I had a severe panic attack but my arm felt fine?

But what really scared me about als was, 6 days ago I woke up with tingling or twitch in my left hands fingers, and as the day progressed I felt my left leg get unsusually weaker. The whole day I was kept standing on one leg occasionally to see if it was getting weaker and my left leg kept feeling like it getting tired much faster than my right. My left arm also felt harder to holding things up. I also constantly get the muscle twitches all over my body, mostly in my left leg and arm, but I noticed they happen in my lips and starting more on my right leg.

If you could help me, I would be very grateful, I really want to stop freaking out all the time.

ALS shows up nothing as you describe. I'd suggest you see a doc who can baseline your strength and reassure you that you don't have ALS. They can also recommend a counselor to talk to about the anxiety and what its causes might be, so you don't have to waste your life in fear.

Thank you for your response, I will do my best to get my anxiety in order. A therapist definitely sounds like a good idea.
