ALS and lymes

My dad was just diagnosed last week with ALS. i'm busy trying to educate myself. I keep hearing about the als/lyme's connection. does anyone have knowledge about this? what about help paying for rilutek. it would be over $1000 monthly for my parents
so they don't want to take it. is there anyway to help a retired person on medicare get the meds cheaper?

you may be able to get help with the meds that way.
if your dad goes to a als clinic there may be a social worker
there that can help as well.
as far as lymes, dad will need a blood test to determine that. lymes
usually hits 3 joints unlike als which is a slow pregression of loss of
muscle. hope this helps
