ALS and Herpes?

Anyone has seen or read this new study?? About the Herpes viruses and being connected to ALS and MS?? Anyone read this? Can someone explain it? My mother had herpes zoster about two years before she got sick from ALS and i had mentioned it here. My sister got Herpes Zoster last year too and we are terrified. Anyone read this?

Hi Nina, I think we last covered this 2y ago. If you read the article, you will see that the same association may be seen with chickenpox, which a ton of people have had. In short, we don't have any evidence that there's a significant excess risk from having one of the zoster viruses.
