ALS and denture pain

Does anyone know if there is any type of mouthpiece available for ALS patients to use in place of dentures?

My Dads dentures are too uncomfortable to wear all the time so he does not wear them very much. They fit fine but his head droops from the ALS and it puts pressure on his jaw. My Mom heard from someone that she should check on some kind of mouthpiece that is coushined or something that will keep his mouth in a more normal position like if he had his dentures in.

T.I.A. -- I don't know if there are commercial ones available (maybe a sporting goods store that sells football equipment ?) but I would think his dentist would be able to make one that specifically fits his mouth.
