Im 45 and have been losing significant weight and muscle for a few months down from 14 stone to 12.5 stone. My testosterone is low, so I initially put it down to this.
Recently my legs and arms were tingling and numb, this has followed with twitches all over my muscle groups, but mainly legs for days now unable to sleep.
In just 2 weeks my core muscles are gone, it hurts to walk, my hips sore and left leg refusing to cooperate. Both legs are numb behind the knee. My arms and hands weak with poor coordination.
I also in the last month developed reflux, and lump in throat, which I now put down to muscle loss on one side bringing on this feeling.
I have been to GP and he's referred me for a back scan. However family and friends think this is just anxiety and I am suffering from all the physical effects, especially the constant twitching muscles and muscles wasting. I'm sure this is ALS.
Help please, reassurance either way would be useful.
