Hello. I'm female and in my 30s. I have been having shortness of breath for the past few days, even from just chewing food I find I have to take a deeper breath. My voice changes when speaking like it will just cut out and sometimes sounds thick where I have to clear it out. When trying to fall asleep it feels like my breathing stops and it prevents me from going to sleep. This started with the breathing issues. I had an EMG few years ago and told I had bfs. I twitch everyday and my worry from these symptoms have made them much worse. I'm terrified it could be bulbar or respiratory onset. The breathing is what worries me the most. I would suggest you see a doctor asap as this is probably quite treatable caught early.
The likelihood of being ALS is pretty much zero, so just go see a doctor please.
