Hello all! I would like to start by apologizing as I have posted before on multiple threads and was blocked. I promise I understand my error and will not be doing that again. I just beg you to look at my question and maybe someone can answer it.

I will start with I have been having a persistent twitch on my left forearm for about 2 months. I am being followed by a neurologist at stony brook and she wants to continue to follow me. This all started with tremors of my left hand, then twitches of my right arm and now the left forearm. The twitches on the right didnt last for long but thr left forearm was continuous all day everyday for 2 months.

I have now notices a few twitches on my tongue and an occasional jaw jerk that makes me bite my tongue. My voice is occasionally hoarse as well.

I have been working on my anxiety and was doing fairly well until my last neuro follow up emg where the wording and the results threw me off.

Can anyone please just look at the emg and tell me if this is a type of emg you see in progression of als? Please don’t kick me off, I promise I won’t violate the rules.

I thank you for any attention you can give to my files!

I allowed this post despite your previous infractions only to reply. I will be closing this thread and please do not post again

no this doesn’t look like early ALS. It seems as if the electrophysiologist was being exceedingly cautious ( perhaps because the clinical reason for the emg mentioned mnd) so put that bit to cover themselves. They didn’t say follow up definitely needed they gave an interval for follow up your neurologist felt a need. Basically they said it doesn’t seem like als but If you ( ordering neurologist) are truly concerned based on the clinical exam then ok I would do one more emg
