Over the last 2 months I’ve had symptoms that are progressing and getting worse.

heavy, stiff, tingling and pain in my calf muscle (right side) and right side foot feels detached from my body, my toes on my right foot feel stiff and my big toe feels odd and tingles. I also have twitching in my right foot and right leg (especially my calf). I don’t have balance on that leg or foot, I have to wear a shoe as support because I feel I lack strength and balance in my leg and foot.

my right side hand and thumb feel strange, like it’s also disconnect and my thumb doesn’t have any strength at the knuckle and middle joint in my thumb.

i have a feeling in my throat like I can’t feel my swallow and like my throat is restricted. Constant, never goes. This has been worsening for the last 2 months.

i feel generally unwell, like my body is exhausted, stiff and like I don’t have any strength within me.

I think I have what looks like muscle wasting in my affected leg and in my left shoulder/back muscle (I will attach photos).

increased gag reflex.
shortness of breathe
Tight chest
Hoarse voice
My muscles hurt in my right top arm and legs
Increased saliva
Over swallowing

I had an EMG in Feb 2020, carried out on one leg (left side) - NORMAL.

I had a second EMG in June 2020, carried out in my right leg, left arm, torso (back), throat (just above the Adam’s Apple to the left side) - NORMAL

My maternal grandmother had MND. So I am terrified what I am experiencing is due to MND progressing.

please can anyone suggest anything?
I would be grateful any response given.

Previous thread here

As we have previously discussed, your symptoms are subjective, ALS doesn't skip generations, and you've had two normal EMGs, one on each side, including areas that you think are symptomatic.

So my very best advice is to seek counseling for your anxiety relative to MND, and to keep in touch with your GP about strategies that might help you feel better, such as focusing on nutrition, stress, and sleep. These have a lot to do with how your body feels physically, in very concrete ways.

Continuing this thread would be unproductive -- your last one was closed for similar reasons -- so I'll close it here.
