Adaptive pants

Those are some great pants Kate. I love the whole design and execution...and the NY Giants privacy flap in Patriots country is a gutsy move on top of it all. :-}

I also used my sewing skills to adapt pants for my husband, but you can accomplish the same thing with loose fitting sweat pants and a pair of scissors--as Sharon described. Cut from the waistband in the back most of the way to the crotch. Then cut from that center cut laterally across where the bottom of the butt would be. Put a pad under him, put him in the chair, and pull the pants up the legs. Then tuck the flaps you created around him. With a bit of experimenting you'll find what's best for him and you won't be trying to get pants under his butt anymore. By using some sort of knit fabric pants the fabric won't unravel so you don't need to worry about finishing the edges.
