I found this type of device helpful for clipping nails when pinch strength is weak. It would also work well for people with arthritis in their fingers.

Mod note: Sry! :-( Commercial link deleted.

Do Google search for "Mounted Nail Clippers".

Love this one!
Any helpful ideas with bras? Hand strength loss has made this so trying!

RE: Bras

Ditch them unless it's absolutely necessary. You can breathe better without one.

GregK, I needed that chuckle...my husband agrees!

About bra - I was looking for my mom who got severe arthritis in hands and found in store Uniqlo dresses and tops with build in bra. Would that help?

Noska- I have worn these exact tops and found them very comfortable. However, they can be a bit difficult to wrestle on by yourself if there is weakness. Not a problem if you are helping your mother dress, but may be a bit much for self dressing depending on level of weakness.

I had to give up on them, as it was exhausting to pull them on by myself and use a front closing sport bra instead.
