A question about pbp

Hello everyone

The answer to this is probably staring me in the face but I wondered if someone would mind clarifying this for me as I am a little confused

Is pbp the same as bulbar onset als? I see varying reports on the percentage of als which first presents in the bulbar region as opposed to limb onset, but when people talk about bulbar onset als are they describing pbp?

Hi MM. From what I understand PBP is a variant of ALS. It is more specific to the neck region rather than limb onset type. Most of the Motor Neuron Diseases are just variations of some sort and are usually distinguished by whether they affect upper or lower or both motor neurons. Guess it's clear as mud now isn't it?
