Hello,
Had my 6th emg. Now showing minor abnormalities according to als dr. Says I don't meet the als criteria. Cant tell me if this is als in the making.... going on 2 years of symptoms. Wanted to see if I could get any feedback on the conclusion of the drs report. Please help. Prayers with you all... see below.
This is a minimally abnormal study.
The electrophysiological evaluation showed: 1)normal right median and ulnar motor evoked response 2)normal bilateral tibial and peroneal motor evoked responses
3)normal right median, ulnar and radial sensory nerve action potentials (SNAPs) 4)normal bilateral sural and superficial peroneal SNAPs, of note the right sural SNAP is 50% lower than left and superficial peroneal SNAP is 50% lower than right (likely technical)
5)mild chronic denervation and reinnervation right semimembranosus and gastrocnemius 6)there were only 3 fasciculations noted during entire evaluation
There is no electrodiagnostic evidence of a motor neuronopathy or a sensory motor neuropathy. There is mild chronic right S1 radiculopathy.
