37 year old male scared

Hi all I’m 37yr old male that lives in the uk very anxious and scared as after googling my symptoms they strongly match ALS I have my first GP appointment next week just want to see if anyone has had any similar symptoms and it ended up not being ALS.

So my first symptom was a neck spasm 10 weeks ago my neck went stiff and took about 3 weeks to loosen off felt ok for a few weeks then another spasm on my neck same again 3 weeks stiff then loosened off feels fine now.

Then not long after I got a twitch in my left eyelid that lasted a few weeks then I started to notice twitching all over my body legs arms hands feet shoulders etc basically everywhere more noticeable when in my bed.

Can also get the odd leg shoulder finger or toe jerks also more noticeable when in bed.

Definitely have atrophy / split hand on left hand, slight atrophy on left bicep near elbow hand and arm still functioning pretty good no noticeable weakness.

Does this sound like the start of ALS or by some miracle could this be something else ? I have 3 young kids that rely on me and im
Very anxious about this all does the weakness usually come before atrophy as I definitely have atrophy and fasculations but no weakness yet.

No, no miracle required, and no.
I very much doubt ALS is in the picture.
Live your life and enjoy your kids while awaiting your appointment. You might want to re-evaluate your bed, pillow, sleep, hydration, and stress.
