I have told myself over and over that I wouldn't let the anxiety get to me and post here but here I am. I have read the "read before posting" thread at least 50 times the past few days. With that said in the past week I have become absolutely mortified that I have ALS.
Here is some background about why I'm here:
Hope you all have a great day!
Here is some background about why I'm here:
- The first medical issue I can recall is that back in Nov 2021, I passed out in the operating room while my wife was having a c-section. I didn't really think too much of it other than me just being overwhelmed by all that was going on around me.
- A couple of months ago I began to notice some tingling in my left arm that would kind of come and go. It wasn't too bad or didnt happen that often so I wasn't overly concerned.
- I had continued to have a few episodes of dizziness and lightheadedness since last November but it wasn't anything too serious at all until 3 weeks ago when I got extremely lightheaded and nauseous and had to sit down for several minutes to avoid passing out. Since that time I have dealt with several dizzy spells daily that come and go. This is what initially started me down the Dr. Google Rabbit Hole.
- After this I began to notice more severe numbing and tingling in my left hand that extended all the way up my arm. This caused me enough alarm combined with my wife's nudging that I finally made an appointment with my Doctor. I went to that appointment and he didn't really evaluate me too much but I discussed my symptoms with him and he did some blood work that ruled out anemia and diabetes, etc..
- Since that appointment last week I have started dealing with some anxiety, mainly from Dr. Google which led me here. I have also dealt with numbness , tingling and difficulty moving both my left and right hand. I have also noticed some numbness in my legs now and sometimes my feet and hands will get either a warm or cold feeling in them.
Hope you all have a great day!
