Hello!
Almost 3 month has passed since the 1st test. Now we flew to Brisbane again, for the 2nd time to see the specialist for another EMG. He was supposed to get a lumbar puncture as well, but as you guys explained it's really not fun, so the doctor agreed to wait.
He was in for about 1hr, and 2 other doctors were called in to check him out.
So here are the results: (copying what he wrote on a piece of paper)
EMG showed the right leg is stonger, the left is exacly the same
The problem is with the L5.
possibilities according to the spec.:
compression / not very likely
inflammatory
non-diabetic lumbosacral radiculoplexus neuropathy
and MND still not ruled out
The doctor had a very brief discussion with us, but he wasn't very nice at all, and didn't explain what all this non diabetic lubo..thing means.
he is due for another appointment in 4 months time.
My hubby's general condition is much better, walks much easier than before. - even without the footbrace. And the EMG clearly showed improvment on on leg.
So why can't MND be ruled out?
And why can't they figure it out what's going on?
Anybody can make any sence out of this?
Thank you for your input
