Hi hun

I'm 26 and I was diagnosed with ALS 2 weeks back. I know exactly how scary it is and being our age, we spend our early years trying to build for the future just to have it all torn down :(

I would recommend requesting a EMG, they're not pleasant but its what gave me any answer.

Fingers crossed you can come back and confirm it is not ASL.

Take care x

What are the schools?

Sorry, it's hard to get past that knee jerk reaction of not putting any identifiable information online.
Nova Southeastern for the university and Loma Linda University Medical Center

I had the "emergency" appointment today, it didn't go well, but after an hour of waiting to see the very annoyed neurologist for ten minutes she decided that they should probably get me in for an emg eventually, but she refused to order any additional blood panels and basically told me their office is too busy even though I was the one who wanted to wait until my usual appointment, and that my clinical weakness and inability to walk is due to a sexual trauma from when I was four that was dealt with years ago by working with a therapist.
Incidentally... I'm frustrated.
