Sille's thread: Can we talk symptoms?

Thank you so much tracyliz, Your detail is very much appreciated. As someone who is just at the start of this journey I'm just trying to get a handle on what the future will look like. I know my progression is still in its infancy and I'm yet to be definitively diagnosed. I've had 2 CTs, 2...

    Can we talk symptoms?

Hello, This is my first time posting and I've only been poking around for a week as it was a week ago that my Neurologist said he thinks I may have PLS. I've only had my symptoms for a year and I know that it can take many more for a definitive diagnosis. With that being said, I'm wondering what...

What kind of AFO did you/ do you have?

We have been talking about afos recently and I realized the type you have really matters. A couple of people talked about wearing a hiking boot style shoe with theirs for example which doesn’t work with mine because it has a protruding side piece. I like mine a lot. It is designed to keep my...

    Need a Second Opinion

I started having twitching in my calves on March 20, 2018. It was constant and a bit amusing at first- I would put my leg on my husband and make him feel it going crazy. After several weeks, I started noticing that my legs were getting a jello feeling, especially if I was walking on my...

    trouble with sandals

I'm guessing this is ALS related? I can still walk but over the last 9 months my gait changed and walking is more difficult. Now that it's warm I brought out my sandals but I can't stop tripping in them. Same for attractive flats. Only my trusty merrels seem to work.

    Atomic Meltdown

I do not have to explain to any of you how much living with a spouse with ALS SUCKS! I am so very tired! I am sick of putting on this brave face! I am pretty fed up with my husband and his demands! I DO NOT want to be responsible for every little detail of our lives. Paying bills, lawn work...

Hypoflexia? Is this what I am expiriencing?

Hello everyone, I just want to start off by saying that I know only a doctor can diagnose me with anything. I have also read the stickies and have a few questions about hypoflexia. I realize no one can diagnosis me with anything but a doctor. Like, what is it exactly and how is it diagnosed? And...
