I Can't Reconcile Myself to This...

Yet, what choice do I actually have. Brian was diagnosed 6 months ago. He has a weaker left hand and has progressed to using a cane, mostly to to strength and balance issues with his left leg. Lately, I just can't stand it. I wound up crying in my bosses office just mentioning that my husband...

Venting - Can't take much more

I need to vent because I don't know what else to do. Jay is becoming so controlling to the point he tries to tell me I can't go outside and play with our dog. These are just a few things he said to me yesterday and this is exactly the way he says it to: I need a new toothbrush head, you...

    Feeling helpless; friend's condition detriorating

I've posted about our friend before. We are 1500 miles from them and haven't seen them since April. I plan to visit in November. The other day, our friend's wife told me that his respiratory numbers have declined. He has been in the hospital 5 times in the past year with pneumonia or...

The Trilogy is an amazing piece of engineering...

Although I would never recommend long term venting, the Trilogy has amazed me. 1.5 years 24 hours a day and not one mechanical or programming issue. The battery life is amazing and it just does its job day after day through ambulance rides, ER visits, and and power outages.

    Disappearing friends

Anyone else have friends disappear? It's been 2 months since I got together with people I have been good friends with for 25 years over the Christmas holiday, and let them know about my husband's diagnosis. It was a very emotional time for me and I did have a bit of a meltdown. These friends...

    Crappy Day

Just venting as I know there are so many that are much worse off than me but I want to share this day. Woke up at 4:30 am. Could not get back to sleep. Just laid there for 2 hours so I wouldn't wake up my wife. We are now 1 month in to our home remodel so we are living with my parents in their...
