Hello
I am new here and per many other threads I've seen would consider myself a "guest," since I have not received a diagnosis yet. I first want to say I am not here hoping to receive a diagnosis from anyone. I understand that only a doctor can do that with proper tests - and I am seeing...

So, I just wanted to first say thank you to anyone who comes on here and despite what you are going through tries to put the minds of what are probably many hypochondriac at ease. It's very kind of you to do that... and I hope I am just another hypochondriac.
My situation is as follows...
That is what this forum is to me. I am happy for any constructive, supportive things I can do for others but I honestly just love how I can say what I mean here about my own life.
People ask me how Brian is, bless their hearts. I appreciate it, and I say he is okay/stable. I may change that to...

Hi Everyone,
My father started with a BiPap machine last week, and it doesn't seem to work. He is bulbar onset, and right now can't keep his mouth closed other than by holding it with his hands, which he can still do, but it's not easy even now (and his hands are weakening). He has to press...
Hi everyone,
I haven't posted on this forum in over a year now and I've been missing it in my life! My dad was diagnosed with ALS 2 years ago (age 57), and it was around mid-last year that I discovered this forum. It allowed me to connect with people also affected by the disease, who understood...

Hi everyone,
I'll try to be brief as I am very upset right now and my wording will probably be jumbled (also, not native English speaker).
So, I'm 25, female and about 2-3 weeks ago, I started noticing muscle twitches in my right calf. Eventually, I would notice them somewhere else but the...

Introduction
Like you, I was in this forum worried sick I had ALS, Heck! Not only that! I was 1000% certain I had ALS, there was not a doubt in my mind my days were numbered. I had stopped any plans whatsoever for the future because I was certain I would be on a wheelchair watching my days go...
I've spoken to a doctor and still was unclear how this cramping phenomenon works with MND patients. Here are my questions, and a brief story of myself (Yes, I know I've been on here before).
1. Are your cramps sudden, and often during periods of inactivity?
2. How long do the cramps last...
Here I am going on 9 months since my PALS death
I have gone to grief counseling, I see a therapist and I write in my journal. There is the part of me that knows that I did every thing I was suppose to do. But there is the part of me that repeats over and over the night Jon died.
I got him...
