Hello Everyone,
Although I have had ALS over five years, I am a new member to this forum and would like to introduce myself.
I was diagnosed back in February 2011.
Physically, from the chin up, I am doing well. I can still speak – albeit softly – and eat which I am very grateful for. South of...

Slow but relentless progression of PLS
Submitted by mrs70 on Fri, 03/10/2017 - 15:26
Hi, I just found this site today and am glad to have found you.
I was diagnosed with PLS in 1998. So, I have been living with it a long time. It's been slow, but...
My daughter and I went to WalMart today, and I went to the car section where they sell mitts to clean cars. I purchased two of them, and with a little struggle, they fit perfectly over each of my foot plates on my PWC. What a difference! And for under $3 each. They are soft and very...

Hello all,
This is my first post, but I have been lurking for a while, soaking up all the information I can process. Let me tell you, I have learned more on this forum than all other venues available, and I thank you all.
My husband started with foot drop in 2011, then fasciculations and...
I am trying to get some things ready for when the power wheelchair comes. I needed help moving a very heavy L shaped desk.
I posted on facebook that I needed help and within 30 minutes I had 5 different men knocking on my door.
I have a lot of good friends that I am super thankful for.
Who has everyone used to get their power wheelchair? I have heard many say NuMotion but they don't seem to be in network with UHC.
Has anyone used anyone besides them and had good luck? I want someone that can help us get the right chair and also help get features paid for by the insurance.
