Hi! Please be kind to me, I'm scared and I'm trying to receive help from our local hospital but they won't do much. So lately I've been having some difficulties with pronouncing some consonants, for example three days in a row I've hade problems with saying words with L and R. I was saying the...

I have trouble falling asleep mainly due to my hand. When I lay down to sleep I get strong fasiculations that shoot down my arm and jerk my fingers. My hand also will involuntarily clench to the point of my nails painfully digging into my palm. If I lay my hand palm down on the bed it hurts...
So happy with my response to doing breath stacking exercise. I was thinking that magnesium was helping, but the exercise has allowed me to be independent of daytime ventilator use, and I don't get distressed now, when I am laying on my back either in bed or the wheelchair.
Magnesium Citrate
I must have been deficient in magnesium. Last year, I stopped taking it because of stomach irritation. Recently I resumed it in the form of magnesium citrate.
Not only is it helping bowel function, my air hunger is gone and I am back to using the ventilator only at night...
I'm writing because I've frequented these forums in the past few months. I've read all the stickies, searched past posts, etc. I'm consumed with worry.
Last spring, I bent wrong getting a toy for my son and something shifted in my back. I couldn't feel my leg for 3 months, and I had weakness...

Hi everyone.
First off, let me start by saying that I cannot start to imagine what you are going through and how brave you all are to dedicate time to helping each other out.
Second off, I hope no one with ALS will be offended by my scares. Trust me, I am dreading to have anything close to...
I know how hard it is to get to the bathroom and I know we're not as active as we used to be but please remember we still need water.
I just spent 6 days in the hospital. Dehydration, acidosis, uti, electrolytes depleted. Was on iv the whole time. Had 2 meds plus magnesium and potassium...
Rubber band ligation is a procedure in which the hemorrhoid is tied off and eventually dries up and drops off. I've had hemorrhoids for a couple of years (1st degree but very painful). I went to a gastro last year and he offered to do the ligation in his office. He has a lot of experience...
I have recently been getting very worried about ALS and if I may have it or not. I've read many things that contradict each other on various places but here seems to be the place where I could get some reassurance. To start off I'll tell a little about myself. I am 16, male and I'm 120 pounds...

Hi I'm a 25 y/o male ER nurse and have had an interesting year. I'm curious about some symptoms I'm having and anyone's opinion on them. A couple of months ago I started having fasiculations, numbness and tingling in my arms hands and feet, and muscle spasms with perceived weakness in my hands...
