    Portable ceiling lift recommendations/reviews

I will soon be in the market for a portable ceiling lift. Aside from the occasional post of a used one for sale, I haven't been able to find reliable ratings or recommendations of any. I was wondering if/hoping I could get some feedback of quality, reliable models to look into. Thanks!

    Free Lift Chair

I have a nice Lazboy power lift chair to donate to anyone with ALS who needs it. I’m in the Raleigh-Durham NC area. You’ll need to pick it up but I can help you load it. About 2 years old, grey cloth fabric. 42” wide, 43” tall at back, seat is 22” wide. Has heated seat and massage. It’s in...

    Motorized Toilet Lift

Do any PALS use something like this? My PALS is loosing the strength to stand, wasn’t sure is this would help. It’s very pricey. We used a motorized sit-to-stand today. It worked well but was a little clumsy.

Opinions Needed - Ramp vs Platform Lift

We have 5 steps to get into our house. We’re being proactive since we know these will be a problem for my PALS in the near future. He currently just uses a rollator. We’ve talked with 3 companies about metal ramps and VPLs (vertical platform lifts). The cost will be about the same for...

    Lift Chair Question

For those of you with Golden lift recliners, can I get my PALS into it with a hoyer? I have been exclusively using a hoyer to transfer him for a while now. I'm pretty sure he could not stand on his own even with support, even just for a pivot transfer. (I'd be scared to death to even try.)...

    Frightened that I have ALS

I know I'm 17 years old and it's very rare for me to have ALS on this age, but I still hope you hear me out on this. This all started with muscle twitching about 4 weeks ago. I felt it in my legs and in my back which was really weird feeling. I also noticed that when I was standing still my...

    Van Shopping Questions

So I have been looking up and down the internet for Full Size Mobility Vans and while there are some available not many here in Calif. It seems that the mobility van market is largely made up on converted mini vans and that has been my dilemma in my search. After chasing down the Mercedes...
