    Access to Published Papers

Looks like we are denied access to most published papers. Since it seems that a number of these papers are the result of grants from the ALS Association/Foundation I think those of us with ALS should have free access and not be required to pay the exorbitant prices to get a research paper.

On a FB Vets group today, in a discussion about getting a home generator installed, the VA ILP was suggested as an alternative to the SAH or HISA grants. I went looking and found this old discussion and was amazed. But still skeptical...

Our 'beloved leaders' budget proposal cuts benefits for vets. So much for that promise. One item cut is something called Individual Unemployability. I contacted PVA about this and received the following: Good Afternoon Mr. Kenoyer, It is actually called Individual Unemployability (IU)...

    Wheelchair Choice

Last night the representative from the company selling me a wheelchair called. She was not happy that the representative did not bring a chair for me to try. This company is in South Florida so my getting down there is out of the question. I tried to find dealers closer but it was a problem...

Great News for Vets; Good News for Others

VA has required the loss of ability to walk to qualify for a wheelchair-carrying vehicle grant. This is often too late for PALS. Thanks to a new friend in Enumclaw, Wash, and widow of a PALS, and her politicking with VA, they will soon allow immediate grants to vets with ALS. This is...
