i am a chinese , my mother had als before she passed away. i hv been on a chinese als site very often, what the patient there say : stem cell does not work. and stem cell treatment will make de disease worse . but my mother had not try this treatment. linda

my mother has bulbar ALS , she started with getting veel mouth water , later came de systhom of spreeking probleem en swallowing probleem. so different with yr. i dont think you should worry. better go to a doctor to have a check. ALS does not happen often in thirties.

maybe you should think to stay home for a time, bcos ALS patients dont have too much time. after 12 weeks , maybe there will be another solution for this. so pls dont worry.

i also want to thank everybody here you hv given me a lot of advices en suggestion and a lot of support! i like to ask everybody to take good care of yrself and be strong! i dont think Rilutek has done much, but i do think a good healty dieet will help you ! and a positive attitude ! also...

forgot to make it clear: mum has bulbar ALS. she has feeding tube, she has used Bipap, en cough assist. she is not unconcious in the hospital, and we are allowed to see her only twice a week. we are getting creazy. thank you all for reading my thread above.. Linda
