    Pipe Smoking ?

Micheline was a cigarette smoker right up until 3 days before her death. I tried to convince her to quit, even went as far as quitting myself in solidarity, not to mention for my own health and longevity. (I had just found out I was type 2 diabetic) She refused and often told me it was all she...

MichelineS, time is near --- now over

Today we brought closure and spread Mich's ashes along the beach of the pacific ocean not far from our home where her father was spread as well. The bright light at the upper left of the photo is actually a rainbow that appeared just as we started. Conicidence? No rain but incredible fog. Her...

    ALS and Obesity

When Micheline was first diagnosed she was very over weight. This caused a problem for those of us that had to transfer her around because of her limb onset and her legs going first. By the time we had to worry about bed sores etc she had already lost a lot of weight due to lack of appetite etc...

MichelineS, time is near --- now over

Micheline passed away this morning at 7:40am. I went in at 6am this morning after waking with a sense of urgency to go and see her. She has been induced in to a coma like state and we are just waiting for the Dr to call and instruct the nurses to remove...

    shaking from pills

I've noticed visiting Micheline that morphine gives her the shakes. She went from pills to injections for pain management. She is going off her bi pap soon and upping the morphine. Soon enough I guess she wont have to worry about any of it.

    Our Friendly Neighborhood watch

Micheline(_h) is in an assisted living facility. She has now lost the use of her arms and hands. Her breathing continues to worsen and she is tied to her bipap more than ever. We did however watch our 18yr old son graduate on Monday along with 250 other kids and it was a proud moment for both of...

"Drive Lock Out" due to mercury switch?

This has happened to Micheline as well with the same chair (mercury switches). Not to mention the the piston on one of the leg rests has broken down and needed replacing 3 times in less than a year. 21 thousand dollars for a chair that breaks down non stop...terrible. I will recommend the...

All the people there seem nice however. I got the 2 dollar tour. She seemed ok and knew all the names of the staff and residents as...
