    Still worried

Thanks for your replies. All this started in December when I had a scary time with my hands losing feeling for around four weeks and my legs tingling / feeling tight like I was exercising them when I was not. This was when my vision changed and my body would twitch and shake. I then lost a lot...

    Still worried

Hi everyone, I've posted a thread before about my symptoms and wanted to ask for more advice. My heart goes out to anybody affected by ALS. I'm male and 22 years old. Recently I've been very concerned with the loss of muscle in the area between my thumb and index finger in my left hand. It's...

    Worried I may have ALS

Well I had my EMG and nerve conduction tests today. The doctor was really kind and tried not to hurt me too much. He said he was looking for changes in the way my motor neurones are wired that could point to ALS. First he said he wasn't going to test my tongue because I wasn't slurring and I...

    Worried I may have ALS

To update again, my EMG has been scheduled for two weeks time. My tongue is still fasciculating and my limbs are still twitching. I guess all I can now is wait and see what happens.

    Worried I may have ALS

I wasn't expecting any change in my floaters with the surgery as it was for an (unexplained) hole in my retina. Yes they are big, small, some are like threads and cobwebs, some are like parasites under a microscope and some are circles, some stay in my vision for longer some rush past. I can see...

    Questions

Could be a lot of neurological problems that could one sided problems, eye problems and tongue issues. BUT I'm pretty sure eyesight is not usually affected with ALS. Is she experiencing any double vision? Any blurring or colour differences from eye to eye, or any pain? Talk about her doctor...

    Worried I may have ALS

Thanks Wright! Jenny, for some reason it seems like my floaters are less since the laser surgery, but I still see them, and they have been "locked in" now I suppose  Something I can live with though. Good luck for next week!
