Hi! My symptoms pretty much went away except I still have the muscle twitching in my right leg. The most important thing I learned on this site was that if you have NO weakness or muscle failure then you DO NOT have ALS. It took me a long time to understand that. Good luck! Thinking you have...

    Update after Neuromuscular Specialist Appt.

Laurie - I have one last question before I log off of this website. I'm directing this question to you because you posted something awhile back that always comes back to me and I don't understand - Just need clarification. Everything I've always read and have been told is that weakness precedes...

    Update after Neuromuscular Specialist Appt.

I just wanted to give one last update after seeing a world renowned neuromuscular specialist at an ALS clinic. Shockingly, I got into to see him in TWO days and then had my EMG (my third) with him one week later - I know this NEVER happens so I feel very lucky. My clinical, reflexes were all...

An update from my previous post...

I'm finally getting referred to a local Neuromuscular Specialist at an ALS clinic. All blood work came back normal except for high mercury level and high EBV antibody. They checked my reflexes and strength which are still normal. My question is can you still have normal strength with muscle...

An update from my previous post...

Lenore, Thank you for taking time to respond. I'm sorry for your husband's diagnosis. This is where I get so confused because I've read those stickies over and over and over again. It says FAILING, not FEELING. As in you literally all of a sudden notice you are failing. Mine from the very start...

An update from my previous post...

Thank you for your response. No I haven't had a lyme test yet. That's one of many blood tests ordered. When I said I've been researching, I meant I've been trying to find anything else but this in between waiting months for my appt. I feel so helpless. My husbands in denial. He knows there's...

An update from my previous post...

I'm sorry, I tried to update on previous thread but it was closed. I guess it's been too long. I'm still in limbo trying to figure out what's wrong with me. I tell you, the time between getting into docs and waiting to have tests done and then waiting for follow up to get results is...

Various symptoms in just a month

Laurie - I don't use them together! I only took the gabapetin for about 4 days and then my GP switched me to Lyrca. But I didn't like that either so I stopped. Was wondering though if any of those meds could cause any of my sensory issues. Have you ever heard that?

Various symptoms in just a month

Well it's interesting, because I went to Greece in the last fall. When I returned in October I had a weird deep inner ear pain on the right side with an ache shooting up the back side of my head. The ache went away but the ear thing never did. My ENT said my right tonsil was infected and put me...
