    Dignitas

Just came across this now-closed thread (https://www.alsforums.com/forum/general-discussion-about-als-mnd/11111-pbs-frontline-show.html) about PBS Frontline’s program about assisted death. Unlike some of the people who posted on that thread, I was very comforted by that program. I am actually...

    Accessibility – AXS MAP

My cousin recently tipped me off to this website which allows users to rate and review businesses, restaurants, stores, etc., on their accessibility. It’s a great idea for those of us with mobility issues, although I’m finding the website a bit difficult to figure out and there aren’t many...

A Google search turned up this NYTimes article: The Makers of ‘Still Alice’ Have Their Own Story of...

    Dreams

I have a question for PALS about dreams. Do you have ALS in your dreams? In real life I am no longer able to walk, yet in my dreams I walk, run and drive a car like I was in normal health. I’m in a wheelchair all day, yet I’ve never dreamed about myself being in a wheelchair. Do other people...

    Ethnic background

As someone who participates in various online ALS forums (ALS forums, PatientsLikeMe, Facebook) it strikes me that most people (judging by profile photos) participating in these forums are Caucasian. When I’ve gone to my ALS clinic (Sunnybrook in Toronto, Canada) and attended a few ALS support...

    Bidet toilet seat

I’m thinking of getting myself a bidet toilet seat. Does anyone have recommendations for brands/models? I normally use a wheeled commode chair which is rolled over the toilet (with the seat up) – would this still work with the bidet toilet seat?
