    peg feeding question

When I was tube feeding my mom, I would stand next to her bed and hold the syringe up as if I were making a toast with a glass of wine. This also straightened out the actual tube leading into the body which also helped with the flow...but due to the thickness, it was pretty slow. Don't forget...

    A little lost

Thank you so much. What a wonderful group of people on this forum. I wish there was no need for a website like this but it certainly is a godsend. To all of you who take time out of your day, even when you may be hurting or battling this disease yourself, I thank you.

    A little lost

Thank you for all of your amazing and heatfelt responses. I agree that finding a face to face support group would be very beneficial. I am checking into a church grief group. I posted in another section when I was afraid of having ALS myself. My Neurosurgeon told me he thought I had it so he...

    A little lost

Hello everyone. I am very thankful for this forum. I read a lot of threads here but never post. I'm not sure why I come here, I guess I try to keep my mom fresh in my mind...I don't ever want to forget a thing about her. I cared for her until she passed way in 2010. I cared for her the best I could without knowing anything about this disease. I was so scared of losing my...

    Thank You

Al, Thank you for your response. I was wondering: They told you it was Chiari Malformation and then ruled it out. What made then think it was Chiari in the beginning. Also, my EMG came back clean..but can that change years from now. I am 43 and my mom was 59 when she was diagnosed and passed...

    Hello peoples :)

Re: Neuro wants to wait... I completely agree with you Skipper66. I am new here but I have read so many of Christopher's posts and the NUMEROUS times he has been asked politely to "stop". I have to say Christopher, you truly are not all there. You need to leave this site and quit posting!

Christopher, I am new to this site. My mom passed away from ALS recently and I took care of her during her journey with ALS. I too have concerning Symptoms but I am getting the necessary testing done after being referred to an ALS Specialist by my Neurosurgeon. I just had to write and ask you...
