  • Hi Jay, I hope you are well. Curious to know how you are going with your finger issues. I have a similar problem of late with things like touch typing - am normally very, very good but have been making errors, fingers slipping off keys, shoulders and arms and hands getting tired, etc. I also have twitching in a number of parts of my body now.

Hi, thanks for reaching out. The finger is still noticeably “off” but nothing dramatic to report. I have a scheduled EMG that will hopefully provide clarity.
Hi Jay. Sorry if this is intrusive. But I wanted to reach out because your initial symptoms sound very much like mine. At the beginning of January the arch of my left foot started twitching non-stop. It felt cyclical in when the episodes would happen. After a couple weeks it spread through my whole body, including even my lips.

Hi, just writing back to see if you ever got the EMG results. I'm pushing myself to schedule a visit to the neuro. I developed a new sense of weakness (or maybe stiffness) in my right knee. It could be because I tried an semi-intense workout last week, but I don't know. I can still walk OK and do everything normally, but still it's concerning. I tell myself to get past all this by seeing a neuro finally.

Hi Jonsie, my appointment was pushed back so I’ll be going on Sunday. I’ll let you know. My twitching has gotten better then worse recently. Now I seem to be feeling small pains in my hands where most of the twitching is these days. Hoping for good results.

Thanks for the update. I finally saw a neuro this week. He seemed more interested in my sleep jerks than my twitching. He said it could be fatigue/stress or maybe a subtle form of epilepsy (my dad has a history with seizures). I'm getting an EEG in April. I asked about als and, after some strength and reflex tests, he said I showed no signs of motor damage. I decided to go with his word rather than asking for an EMG.
