I too have major crashes after big meals and get extremely irritable if I go too long without eating. It’ll be interesting to see what your results are.

I can see why my neurologist denied me the next emg! As there’s no point in going through it when it’s clearly not getting close to answer! Most emgs I’ve had are at least 8-10 sometimes even more! I’m glad this guy only did 4 lol because he was not gentle! But he stuck the needle in three areas I was confident would show something! So not much point in the other areas

You win the most EMGs award. Congrats. 🏆
A
Arran
I was referring to the amount of times they stick the needle in lol
A
Arran
But yes 9 emgs in total! Sounds ridiculous! I think the doctors may start to suspect me enjoying them lol
A
Arran
This glucose test better be worth it! Because it’s 3 separate blood tests! I asked where they take the blood from 3 different times! And they said it’s 2 in on arm and 1 in the other! I can’t imagine 2 needles in 1 arm within 2 hours of each other will be pleasant lol
A
Arran
Then again the won’t be sticking it in the same hole I imagine! So it won’t be that bad

One of the drugs in Nadirs protocol is insulin
A
Arran
Does nadir have any videos?

I’m just about to leave the house to go and do this blood test, I’m nit sure what to do after that

No. He used to be on the other als forum, but seems to have gone dark. All there is, is his website, but the last update posted was 9/2018. I’m anxious to see the review of his protocol by the als untangled group. It’s next up for review.

What are your thoughts now about ALS/PMA/PLS now that your two years in, completely clean EMG (9th) and normal reflexes? Have you thought about a trial of corticosteroids?
F
Fasciculation1
Have you had your ANA tested and/or seen a rheumatologist?
A
Arran
Well I haven’t had completely clean emgs
A
Arran
I haven’t seen a rheumatologist, or had an ANA test
F
Fasciculation1
You DEFINITELY need to get an ANA test them with titers. It’s a simple blood test and will let you know if there are autoimmune issues which require further bloodwork.

Can’t believe your primary hasn’t ordered one to rule out/in autoimmune issues.
A
Arran
They may have, I just don’t remember hearing or seeing that come up
F

You should definitely inquire and then get it done ASAP if it hasn’t been done.
