We finally got to a VA neurologist. Things are really falling into place. They only have a spinal cord injury clinic which we attended yesterday. We are also in an ALS clinic through another medical center. Medicare and MDA will cover the costs, thank goodness.

Hi Kmarie. I just saw your post about the VA hospital wanting your husband to build his strength with a manual wheel chair. Oh boy. Is there an ALS clinic anywhere near you that they can send your husband to? This is scary!

Oh, my husband and I are both vets. The Durham VA hospital sent him over to Duke, where he gets great care (they request things and the VA buys them)
