My brother has just been diagnosed with ALS. We are devastated.
He has been given to understand he will be offered IVIG next month, and I have seen on this forum that many ALS sufferers are having IVIG.
However google searches suggest IVIG is not a treatment for ALS, but is a treatment for Multifocal Motor Neuropathy.

Could anyone explain why IVIG is offered for ALS if not considered a relevant treatment? Or am I mistaken?
