I have PLS. Recently my son came down with one sided numbness, extreme exhaustion, headache. All this happened quickly (within a matter of hours)so we took him to the ER. They did a CT to rule out a stroke. He was working 12 hour shifts 6 days a week, and his wife left him a year ago. He recently fell, and has had many close calls. Since I have PLS {slow Moving}, I was wondering how fast can ALS come on. His happened in one day. We are aware of cases of ALS in famies is that frequent? Please help. Thanks,
