Sorry to welcome you here, but welcome anyway. If your MIL is resistant to help, it doesn't make things any easier, obviously. If this attitude persists, then it becomes her own personal decision, I suppose. You may be forced to honor that, even though you would much rather see her get, or accept help.
She may change her mind as she begins losing more and more independence. She may realize, or be informed, that there is help available, if she will only accept it.
However, some people do not want any of those things, peg tube, BiPap, vent, etc., and that is their good right to decide, in my opinion.
The more you read in these forums, the more help you will find. Many good people here to offer any advice and support they can.
