  • Jan there is no easy answer, my Bri had his moments as well. Its a control thing. Having to depend on someone else to do everything you could do for yourself. I can only imagine how that feels. I highly recommend getting hospice involved. They will be able to help you get equipment you need for lifting and caring for him.also check with you ALSA or MDA, they have things available from the loan closet. And don't be afraid to ask and allow help.....all you can do is be there, and remind them that you are there. My situation spread out over almost 6 years....we chose to get busy living, instead of waiting to die...some choose the later. Take care of yourself...most important thing to remember. If you don't take care of you, you won't be able to take care of him. Bri and I had a unique way about us...although the disease is a horrible thing...we lived more in those 6 years than most people do in a lifetime. I wish you peace and strength as you go through this journey with you husband.
