  • That doesn't sound like the EMG of someone with ALS. Large MUP's simply means that at some point in your life, you had nerve damage and it healed (this goes along with the chronic denervation). Small MUP's simply means that you have some type of direct damage to your muscle. The fasciculations mean very little in the absence of active denervation (which you do not have . . . someone with ALS would absolutely have this) and weakness (someone with ALS would absolutely have this as well). I see nothing in that EMG that should cause you any alarm.
