Thank you for how you respond to threads on here. You are able to give your opinions to both parties while still being respectful to them. You may not agree with us but you let us each have our opinion and then politely give your perspective of things. I admire that. Kim
My new room is working out fine, I have more help and the nurses and aides are very kind..... and the view is gorgeous of the cascade mountains and the water front....I am happily settled. But what a day moving was. When we had moved everything up the head nurse said I couldn't stay because DSHS wouldn't pay for it until all the paper work was finished!!! but Jacqueline called my community and asked if they would pay for it, and they said yes....just until the paper work comes through. So my heart dropped to the ground and then bounced back up. Its really is a miracle that they agreed to pay! Any way I am settled. Thank you for your prayers!
The hot weather is coming our way...suppose to be 93 today! Thank God I have an air conditioner!!!
love you much
They decided to move me to the nursing floor ahead of time because my breathing is so bad. So I got a room with the view of the Cascade Mountains and the water front. I takes a big leap of faith to move to this new room because it is not set up the way my old room is....I have to hold on to furniture to get around.
Pray that I stay calm during this move...moving on Monday~
love u much
PLEASE PRAY THAT I GET AN INTERVIEW WITH DHSH BEFORE SEPTEMBER BECAUSE I CANT MOVE TO MY NEW ROOM UNLESS THEY INTERVIEW ME~ THEY MIGHT HAVE A CANCELLATION ON AUG. 13....PRAY THAT i GET THAT SLOT...
LOVE YOU MUCH
Thanks for your message. The people on this forum have been so helpful and kind to me. We are new to this so I'm sure I'll have more questions as we go along. My dad will be seeing a ALS specialist on June 12th so I'm hoping we get more information. The other neurologist that diagnosed him didn't seem to know very much. Does your husband take Ritulek? My dad is waiting to decide about it after he speaks to the specialist on his options. Hope your week is going well. Kim
Hi ! My name is Kim and I'm new to this site. My father who I'm extremely close too was just diagnosed with ALS. I am devastated and scared. My mother passed away 15 years ago from colon cancer. My husband and I have three children. Our twins (boy/girl) will be 15 in September and then our youngest son is 8. I work as a switchboard operator at our local hospital. Do you have any children? Tell me about yourself when you have time. Kim
